Standard 5 – Social Connection

Standard 5: Social Connection, the university has established a policy for  collaboration with the civil society sector and shares the university’s educational and research  results with society. This is done by establishing a policy for collaboration with the civil  society sector in networking and cooperation with external agencies in accordance with the  university’s announcement, namely the Policy of the Council of Nakhon Si Thammarat  Rajabhat University B.E. 2564-2567 under the urgent policy of signing memorandums of  understanding (MOUs) with external agencies, both domestic and international.  The university utilizes all sectoral networks to foster cooperation in driving the university’s  mission. The university shares educational outcomes by employing innovation for local  development. The sharing of research outcomes involves sharing knowledge from research  results by transferring knowledge to the community. The university also creates a learning  community and promotes community innovators to enable them to continuously adapt  and develop innovations. 

And community research centers have been established to foster sustainability.  These centers collaborate with local communities to jointly register intellectual property  rights, ensuring mutual benefit. Additionally, a network of innovation databases utilizing  appropriate technology has been developed to utilize innovations resulting from collaborative  research. Furthermore, entrepreneurship is promoted through the establishment of Business  Incubation Units (UBI). Intelligent Centers for Regional Development in the Southern Region  have been established. In this process, local knowledge and abilities, including local wisdom  from villagers, local artists, national artists, youth role models, as well as local knowledge,  are utilized collaboratively to develop short-term courses and undergraduate programs in  cultural tourism.
